Giants Win The World Series, Rangers Go Home

Yankees and Rays fans may rejoice, the Texas Rangers lost the World Series after Texas was unstoppable in the ALDS and ALCS. The Giants won the series 4-1 after Edgar Renteria hit a 3 run homer against Cliff Lee in a Game 5 rematch against Tim Lincecum. Lincecum ended up the winner only allowing one run in 8 innings while Cliff Lee allowed 3 runs in 7.

For the Yankees to feel satisfaction that the Rangers had lost is just close enough for words, and now all 30 ballclubs can now relax and get ready for the 2011 season. The chapter has closed on 2010 and finally we have a World Champion: San Francisco Giants. Let’s hope the Yankees can take it next year.

Yankees Wildcard Winner, Tampa Division Winner

Today was a crucial game for Yankees and Tampa Bay. Only one would in, unfortunately the team that I wanted to win lost and the team I wanted to lose won. Yankees had succumbed to Boston in an 8-4 loss and Tampa had succeeded against Kansas City in a 3-2 win in 12 innings. New York’s playoff series is getting started, with the Yankees playing against Minnesota and the Rays playing against the Rangers.

The only good thing I can see from the Yankees winning the wildcard is that they don’t have to face Cliff Lee or any of his Rangers for the moment.

The playoffs begin on October 6 and they air on Fox and TBS.
