Brett Gardner may have to push back his off-season workout for about 3-5 weeks after he goes in for surgery tomorrow. Gardner is getting his wrist operated on after it had been nagging him since June 30, when he was hit by a pitch and was forced to miss the rest of the game. Gardner will be getting the procedure done at New York Presbyterian Hospital after consulting with Yankee doctors. Yankee doctors believe this is the only way Gardner will be back 100% by Spring Training, for Brett this is about him feeling better and playing his best. Brett was given a Cortisone shot in September to help him play throughout the month before the Yankees were sent packing in October from the Texas Rangers. Wishing a speedy recovery to one of the speediest guys in baseball.
