Chi-Sox Blank Yanks in 2-0 Decision

Despite A.J Burnett’s stellar pitching performance last night, the Yankees were unable to cap any runs losing to the Chicago White Sox 2-0.

The White Sox got there only run from A.J Burnett (3-1) when what should have been a caught single in the forth inning turned into a double when Curtis Granderson attempted to flash the leather, only missing the ball as he landed to the ground. Despite getting two ground balls, the run scored but that was the only run they were going to get from Burnett.

Phillip Humber (2-2) for the White Sox had a no hitter into the seventh, until Alex Rodriguez broke it up but the Yankees couldn’t get anyone to score as they hit into 4 double plays that night.

Rafael Soriano gave up the second and last run of the game and when fans thought the Yankees were going to rally right back, there hopes were dashed when Mark Teixeira grounded into a double play.
