Is This The Last We Will See Of Javier Vazquez In Pinstripes?

Javier Vazquez had one last chance to convince Joe Girardi that he was playoff material, that he could the 4th man in the rotation. If his performance on Wednesday was supposed to show anything, it was that he had showed us he was not playoff material. Vazquez gave up 7 runs in 4 1/3 innings, leading to be one of his worst starts ever, including giving up 3 long balls to Travis Snider, John Snider and John McDonald.

This performance had not only made Girardi certain that he was not starting Vazquez in the rotation, but that Wednesday night might have been the last night that Yankee fans will see him in pinstripes. Rumors say that Vazquez won’t be resigned after the 2010 season and will go back to the NL.

Now the question is, what do you think is going to happen. Will Girardi give Vazquez another shot or will he tell him to pack his bags and go back to the National League. Put your comments in the box below.

I really hope so! We traded Melky Cabrera who was loved by New York fans for a pitcher who can’t pitch more than 5 innings.
